About

An MCP service for intellectual property search and analysis, providing unified novelty search, invention FTO analysis, and design FTO analysis. Novelty search: Performs novelty searches based on technical solutions, invention disclosures, or claim text, and returns step results including summaries, feature extraction, candidate patents, comparisons, and reports. Invention FTO analysis: Assesses freedom-to-operate risk for product or technical implementation descriptions, with filters such as country, application date, legal status, and assignee. Design FTO: Performs design risk search and analysis based on a single product or design image.

Capabilities

upload_image

Generic helper tool that converts a client-side image to a URL before calling a business tool. Use upload_image when the user or client has a local image file and a business tool needs an image URL, for example before calling design_fto. This tool returns a signed upload_url plus data.url/image_url. The client should upload the image binary to upload_url with the returned method and headers, then pass data.url to the specific business tool. If the user already provides a reachable image URL, skip this helper and call the business tool directly.

Arguments
content_typestring

Image Content-Type for the binary that the client will upload, such as image/jpeg, image/png, image/webp, image/gif, image/bmp, or image/tiff.

file_extension

Optional file extension, such as jpg, png, or webp. Omit it when the service should infer the extension from content_type.

expire_secondsinteger

Signed upload URL lifetime in seconds. Allowed range: 60-3600.

novelty_search

Searches the novelty of a technical solution, invention disclosure, or claim text using text and optional images. Asynchronous tasks can be queried with get_task.

/mcp

get_task

Returns the status and result of an asynchronous task. overview provides a status summary; detail includes step and result details.

/mcp

fto_review

Reviews patent infringement risk for a product or technical implementation with country, application-date, legal-status, and assignee filters. search.mode supports lite screening and pro analysis; asynchronous tasks can be queried with get_task.

/mcp

design_fto

Reviews design-patent risk from a product or design image with country, application-date, legal-status, and Locarno-classification filters. Only the first input.images item is used; asynchronous tasks can be queried with get_task.
